I worked for three years for a pants manufacturing company. I then completed my degree in accounting at James Madison University (Madison College). Nearly forty years of my career was as a Certified Public Accountant with a local firm, S.B. Hoover & Company, LLP which merged into a regional firm, Brown Edward in 2008. I retired as a partner from Brown Edwards in 2015.

I have been married since 1972 to Donna Bedall from the HHS Class of 1970. We do not have children. We attend JMU football and basketball games. We go to several rock concerts by vintage artists every year and enjoying traveling in our retirement.
